Women and Children Empowerment
GPGD Network is deeply committed to advancing women's and children's empowerment through education and protection. The development of children is an essential pillar of inclusive and sustainable development. We recognise that when women and children are empowered, communities become stronger, more resilient, and more prosperous.
Our women’s empowerment efforts centre on economic independence, leadership, and social inclusion. We provide targeted training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and vocational skills, enabling women to build sustainable livelihoods and strengthen families and communities.
In addition, we actively address gender inequality by challenging harmful cultural norms and practices that limit opportunities for women and girls. Through community engagement, advocacy, and dialogue with traditional leaders and stakeholders, we promote gender equity and create supportive environments for women to thrive.
For children, GPGD Network implements programs that prioritise protection, education, and holistic development. We work closely with families, schools, and child protection agencies to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Our initiatives promote, safeguard and nurture in environments where children can grow and reach their full potential.
We emphasise on the girl-child education and empowerment through mentorship, leadership training, and educational support. By investing in girls, we are breaking cycles of poverty and inequality and fostering a new generation of confident and capable women leaders.
Our integrated approach guarantees that both women and children are empowered with the knowledge and skills. Through partnerships and community-driven strategies, we create lasting change and promote inclusive development across Ga-Dangme communities.
